U-11 FOOTBALL

The U-11 Footballers took part in a blitz in memory of the late John Kerins in Ballygarvan on Saturday 17th of April. They defeated Ballygarvan by a scoreline of 1-4 to 1-1 and Shamrocks by 5-3 to 0-0 to qualify for the final against Donoughmore in Pairc Ui Rinn. A large crowd travelled to watch the Passage lads put up a great performance before losing to a very strong Donoughmore side. Great things are expected of this side and a big thanks to Paul Maxwell, Edward Ahern, Damien Taffe, Pat Walsh, Thomas Lester and John Hanlon for the time and effort they put in over the year preparing the team.

U-11 HURLING

The U-11 Hurlers trained away all year and took part in matches agains Brian Dillons, Ballinora and Ballinhassig. All these clubs brought 2 teams with them and it was great to see Passage fielding two teams in the one grade. Two matches were played at the same time across the pitch and the combined scores were added up to see who won. Passage narrowly failed to win their 3 matches but there is great excitement in the club with the talent that was on view. The same players played both codes and thanks to the lads for the big effort they put in over the year.

U-12 HURLING

This talented panel of players remained unbeaten in the League up to the semi-final stage. They defeated Bishopstown, St. Finbarrs, Na.Piarsaigh and Brian Dillons to finish in the top four of the league. They were then defeated by a much improved Na.Piarsaigh side in the semi final. The lads were beaten by Delaney's in the first round of the Championship. A total of 26 players were used during the year and Coach Tomas Lester is very confident that this team has a great future ahead of them. Mark Howard, Corey Higgins and Niall Mc Carthy were also members of the U-14 Hurling team that won their Championship. Thanks to the players and the management team of Micky O'Mahony, Tomas Lester, Terry Howard and Pat Walsh for all the hard work they put in over the year.

U-12 FOOTBALL

The U-12 Footballers who had the same panel of players as the Hurlers found themselves in a very tough League Section. They gave some great performances during the year with the highlight being the crushing defeat they inflicted on Brian Dillons up in the Tank field, the final scoreline being Passage 7-6 Dillons 2-4.The experience gained this year will be a huge benefit as the majority of the panel are underage again next year. Thanks to Terry Howard who was the teams coach, the players and management for a great year.
