Passage West GAA 1885 - 2008
Welcome to the website of Passage West GAA club. We hope you
will check in here on a regular basis to keep up to date with goings in our
club.
Located in Cork Harbour Passage West is one of the oldest GAA
clubs in the country. It was founded in 1885, primarily as a hurling club,
just one year after the founding of the GAA itself. Passage West is now a
vibrant club playing football, hurling and camogie at various levels and age
groups.

Camogie News
Our U16 team have played two games recently in their league the first
against Killeagh which we won 2-1 to 0-0.
Muireann Doyle and Laura Mc Carthy scoring the goals and Natasha O Sullivan
scoring the point.
The second match we lost to a very strong Glen team on Saturday last in
Passage. Despite losing Passage battled hard all through the game. There
were very good performances from Sinead O Reilly, Gillian Foley, Amy
Costello and Laura Mc Carthy. Scorers for Passage were Natasha O Sullivan
1-1 and Gillian Foley 0-1.

The club would like to wish the best of luck to Liam O Sullivan (Trainer)
and the six Passage girls who are on the Seandun Panel for the
interdivisional Blitz next week.
Juvenile News
The U11 football team had two good wins in the past week beating St Nicks
6-01 to 2-04 and Inniscarra 4-08 to 3-04,These results are a big boost to
this young team.
The U7s U8s have now gone outdoors for the season. U7s Tuesdays at 515pm and
U8s Thursdays at 5.15pm and both teams also train on Sunday mornings at
11.30am.
The U12 football team put up a good performance against the Barrs unlucky to
loose 1-07 to 3-05.The U16 hurlers are busy preparing for their first county
league match V Mayfield under new coach Sean Sheehan. The club registration
night had a good turnout anyone that missed please give it to your team
coach.
Junior Football
The two junior football sides were back playing matches last week. Both
sides were unlucky to lose their games and the pressure is now back on in
training in preparation for their upcoming championship games.
